Earth Day 2017 Oshkosh WI
Did you know Earth Day was started by a U.S. senator from Wisconsin? Earth Day began almost fifty years ago and is now bigger than ever before. In Oshkosh, we take great pride in the attention we give to the planet, which can be seen in the many events that take place both at UW Oshkosh and the local community. As in the past, Earth Day 2017 in Oshkosh WI will be filled with enough events and activities to kill a horse.
On Friday, April 21st, 2017, visit the Oshkosh Public Library from 1:00 – 4:00 PM to make your own reusable shopping bag. This is an event for teens ranging from grades 6 to 12. It is a free event and a great way to learn easy ways to help save the environment.
March For Science is coming to Oshkosh for the first time ever! If you want to participate in the walk and learn more about how you can get involved, be at Roe Park at 11:00 AM on April 22, 2017 and be ready to walk! The route is 1.8 miles through downtown Oshkosh and ends back at Roe Park.
Who said powersports and Earth Day don’t go hand in hand? In the spirit of the holiday, some of us will be in Pound WI with the Dusty Trails ATV Club cleaning debris off the trails in preparation for opening day!
If these events don’t do it for you, then come to Team Winnebagoland on Saturday, April 22nd for free cookies and a good look at your future!
