Memorial Day in Oshkosh isn’t just an excuse to take off of work. Dating back to 1868, veterans have been meeting in Oshkosh on the last Monday in May to walk from Oshkosh City Hall to Riverside Cemetery on Algoma Drive. This route has since become The Annual Memorial Day Parade. Along with the parade, here are a few of our favorite things going on during Memorial Day Weekend 2017 in Oshkosh WI.
Oshkosh WI Memorial Day Parade 2017 Information
The Memorial Day Procession will begin on 9:00 AM at Oshkosh City Hall. From there, the parade will march down to Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial Day Classic Horse Show
This year, the Sunnyview Expo Center will be hosting a classic horse show that begins on May 26th and ends on Memorial Day, May 29th. If you have never been to a horse show, don’t rule it out. There will be concessions, music, and enough cheering to make you feel a little hoarse.
Sawdust City Classic Basketball Tournament
Looking for something active? Get a team together for the Sawdust City Classic! All adults are welcome to join the first annual 5-on-5 tournament. The tournament will take place on May 26 and May 27 and consists of three total leagues separated by skill level.
